Tony came galloping down (well ok he went by 'bus) from Birmingham to the South Coast in 1974 to sweep the lovely Linda off her feet without knowing that he was following in the footsteps of his Gt Gt Gt Grandfather Frederick Gazey 125 years earlier.
Frederick born 1828 close to the Warwickshire/ Worcestershire border had joined the Royal Marines in Birmingham and was posted to Portsmouth. He met and married Sarah EXTON in Gosport.
Once Marine service was completed, the family moved back to Birmingham. Frederick died in Birmingham in 1883.
The couple's 2nd daughter (Kate) subsequently married Frederick John BALL in Birmingham.
Fredericks parents were John Gazey & Mary.
