The NEVILL line is a long and distinguished one. There are...dare we say it.........Royal Connections. The name NEVILL can be traced back through the Earl of Warwick at Warwick Castle and back to Richard I of England (Richard the Lionheart). What we have not yet been able to establish is that our NEVILL line connects up with this noble ancestry as our earliest NEVILLS (first half 1800's) were making and polishing spoons in Birmingham!
The line descends through Charles & Ann circa 1794 via son Charles baptised 1833, married a total of four times. This also meant he had four Mothers in Law!!
NEVILL is the other half of Tony's maternal line (see also ILES & BALDWYN). His Mom, Joyce born 1930 was the daughter of Arthur Philip NEVILL& Lilian (nee ILES). Arthur's parents were Arthur Samuel NEVILL (see above) & Caroline Matilda (nee YOUNG).
